Necco
In 1847, a Massachusetts-based candy maker got its wings. Necco Pastel-colored Wafers and Necco Chocolate Wafers were soon to follow. The Clark Bar, with its peanut butter and chocolaty crunch won more fans to Necco’s camp. But the Sky Bar defies all logic of candy possibility, combining four different fillings—one each of fudge, vanilla, caramel and peanut—into one candy shell. How’d they do that? Necco’s Mint Julep, Banana Split and gold-wrapped Mary Janes candy chews are available in tubs for easy changemaker business. Best of all, Necco’s nostalgia-inducing pink, yellow and blue Candy Buttons and are the same today as they were yesterday.
