After the merger, several variations of the Bit-O-Honey candy were attempted such as Bit-O-Chocolate and Bit-O-Licorice. The other varieties weren't successful and in 1984, Bit-O-Honey along with many other popular Ward Candy varieties were acquired by Nestle. Nestle continues the production of Bit-O-Honey today, preserving the original vision and flavor of the candy.
