Processing Time and Shipping Rates
Please allow two business days (Saturdays and Sundays are excluded) to process your order. Then add the length of time for the shipping method you chose. Please count business days (Saturdays and Sundays are excluded) when calculating the shipping timeframe you have chosen. Remember, fulfillment of your order may depend on the seasonality of the product and our available stock. In addition, if you pay with Paypal or by check or money order, we will not ship your order until we have received good funds. Be sure the SHIP TO address you have entered is correct. Candy Direct will not be responsible for delivery failures in the case of incorrect data entry. All costs to re-ship an order that was misdirected as a result of an incorrect address will be borne by the customer.
The shipping timeframe in the shopping cart is ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE of shipping and arrival.
IF YOUR ORDER IS TIME-SENSITIVE YOU MUST NOTIFY US OF THAT FACT by email or phone.
PERISHABLE PRODUCTS
When placing chocolate or taffy orders we recommend expedited shipping of 2-days or faster. Please do not choose ground shipping during the summer months for chocolate, taffy or other highly perishable candy products. Please consider and evaluate the weather and temperature at your receiving location before placing an order for candy that may not survive the transit. In order to best protect temperature sensitive candy, we recommend customers upgrade to an insulated shipping box. For a $6.00 charge we ship in a Styrofoam box with ice packs for chocolate and other delicate products to protect your shipment. We cannot be responsible for melted product. Plan to be home to receive your delivery to safeguard your purchase. Keep your package in a cool place. For more information on this please visit our Hot Weather Shipping page. Check your order when it arrives and contact us right away if something about your order is amiss.
International Customers
We DO ship to APO addresses via US Mail and to Canada via US Mail or UPS. We cannot ship to Canadian PO Boxes. Our shipping and handling charges for Canadian orders do not include taxes, duties or brokerage fees. These taxes and fees are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
We DO NOT ship to other countries outside the continental United States except by special arrangement.
Shipping Rates and Shipping Methods
For USPS Priority Mail "IF IT FITS, IT SHIPS." Candy Direct reserves the right to select an alternative shipping method depending on the package size or destination of the order.
Candy Direct, Inc. reserves the right to adjust shipping rates quoted in the shopping cart to account for miscalculations and errors in the UPS rate calculation tool. These miscalculations occur due to oversize packaging and mismarking of residential addresses in the UPS system.
Shipping rates will be calculated according to the weight and volume of the items ordered. We may from time to time, as a promotion, offer special Ground Shipping rates by UPS to one domestic address. Orders to multiple recipients will be charged separately for shipping according to the weight and value of the purchase. You may use your own UPS account if your order is over $75 and you would like a shipping method other than ground shipping.
SHIPPING PROMOTIONS DO NOT APPLY TO WHOLESALE ACCOUNTS.
Please note that deliveries can on rare occasions be delayed due to weather and other circumstances beyond our control. While we and our transportation partners will make every effort to deliver your order on the chosen date, delivery date selections cannot be 100% guaranteed.
Shipment Confirmation
We will send a confirmation email notice to the ordering party’s email address as soon as your order ships. A tracking number will be provided for all UPS shipments.
Return Policy
If there is a problem with your order, you may return it for a refund or replacement. Exceptions to this return policy are special orders, bouquets and toy products, which cannot be returned or refunded. In addition, we are unable to accept returns of unwrapped bulk items that have been specially packaged by Candy Direct, Inc. due to health laws and FDA food product regulations.
Return Procedure
All returns must be approved in advance by our customer service department. Return claims must be made within 10 days after you received your order as determined by Shipper or Postal Service tracking numbers. All returns must have a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA) issued by us in advance of your return and written on the exterior of the shipping carton. We charge a 20% restocking fee on all pre-approved returned candy. Candy Direct, Inc. will refund the cost of your candy less restocking and shipping charges when the return is pre-approved and it's received in an unopened and new (saleable) condition. Candy Direct, Inc. is not responsible for the cost of shipping back to our warehouse unless the product was defective or was not what you ordered. Please note that manufacturers often change packaging, styles, colors and flavors without notice. Candy Direct, Inc. will not be responsible for manufacturer changes in packaging that may not exactly match our photograph.
